Ibrahim Zahiri (GV) and Qëndresa Sadriu (PS) have received enough votes to be directly appointed as consultants at the Glattbrugg-Opfikon local municipality.

The Albanian community of this municipality has for the first time managed to get two representatives within the local assembly. There were a total of 7 candidates of Albanian origin from whom, Mr. Zahiri and Mrs. Sadriu received enough support for appointment. Qendresa Sadriu and Ibrahim Zahiri both come from Gjilan and are living in Glattbrugg. The newly appointed municipal consultants will have a lot of responsibility to care for since they are the voice of the Albanian diaspora living there.

Both candidates are happy with the voter turnout and are excited to start work. They are committed on representing the voters trust and intend to only move forward from now.”This victory is not only mine, this is a victory for all of us as citizens of Glattbrugg” said the newly appointed consultant Ibrahim Zahiri.
